Realty was established in 1952 by Wilbur Boyd Sr. Mr. Boyd,
a fourth generation Manatee County native, served in the Florida
Senate for many years. Senator Boyd was voted the “Most Outstanding
Legislator of the Decade” in the 1970’s. Senator Boyd’s
father served in the Florida Legislature, as well. 
Milt May, Brenda’s husband, is a 30-year veteran of Major League Baseball. Milt played from 1971-1984 for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Houston Astros, Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox and San Francisco Giants. He went from Catcher to Coach in 1985, coaching Pittsburgh Pirates, Colorado Rockies and was the batting coach for the World Champion Florida Marlins.
